Dear Nutrition Experts, Colleagues, Friends,

The field of clinical nutrition is rapidly moving, with new research approaches allowing us to increase our understanding how health and disease processes may be affected by nutrition habits, food components and food sources. Traditionally, nutrition interventions are a cornerstone in the management of patients with chronic kidney disease but need to be adapted to scientific progress.

The International Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism (ISRNM) has the objective of advancing knowledge, education and awareness pertaining to nutrition and metabolism in kidney disease by fostering communication of the advancements of knowledge in renal nutrition through the Journal of Renal Nutrition and its biannual International Congress.

The XXI. International Congress of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism (ICRNM 2026) will take place September 15 - 19, 2026 in Berlin’s largest and most modern conference venue.

ICRNM has gained a reputation as the largest and most important scientific meeting in the field of renal nutrition with an expected attendance of more than 700 nephrologists, nutritionists, renal dieticians and renal nurses from all over the world. The intense 5-day program includes a 2-day ‘TNT (Total Nutrition Therapy) Renal course, specific sessions dedicated to an audience of national and international renal dieticians and a 3-day high level scientific program.

The scientific program will focus on recent progress in basic and clinical research as well as nutritional and pharmaceutical concepts including presentation and discussion of recently developed guidelines and pharmaceutical developments. The broad spectrum of basic, clinical, and translational science in renal nutrition and metabolism will be covered by a large number of internationally renowned expert speakers. Apart from the scientific sessions there will be ample room and opportunity for personal exchanges with colleagues and experts.

We are calling for submission of abstracts reporting on recent study results. Abstracts will be presented either during poster sessions or as oral communication. The presenting author of accepted abstracts will receive a discount on registration fees.

Berlin will be welcoming you with its cultural and historic highlights including several theaters and world class opera houses, the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz and remains of the former wall dividing east and west Berlin. The city is known for its large number of typical outdoor ‘Biergarten’ and many culinary highlights situated along the river Spree. A visit to Berlin during summer time, especially in conjunction with ICRNM 2026 will be an unforgettable experience.

So, don’t miss ICRNM and don’t miss BERLIN in 2026!

We are very much looking forward to meeting you in Berlin
